Noel Sunday Stamper Challenge

I love the various challenges.  I always enjoy crafts especially papercrafts but often get stuck knowing what to make.  It's great when there is a birthday as I can focus on making a card specific for a certain person.  Most days I look around my "bits" and decide which things I want to play with most.  Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper Challenges give me some direction.  Today I made a sort of wreath made with snowflakes and holly flourishes cut with my Silhouette Cameo and stamped in the middle with stamps from IndigoBlu and Chocolate Baroque/Elusive Images.  I stamped with IndigoBlu flitter glue and used some gilding flakes over this.  The snowflakes with embossed with Stampendous winter white embossing power and the holly flourishes (and the mistletoe at the top) were Frantaged - sorry but a bit of an addiction.

Tag #2

Here is another tag using a different Crafters Workshop template with a mix of gold/silver/copper embossing paste and a different IndigoBlu stamp again stamped onto shrink plastic.

Tag

I decided to have a go at creating a tag to enter into the latest challenge set by the amazingly creative Hels Sheridan.  To make my tag I coloured the tag with different colours and stamped faintly onto this background with an old caligraphy stamp (not sure which one).  I used a template from Crafters Workshop and used a mix of embossing paste colours.  I really like heating the embossing paste to get a more textured/bistered effect.  I also highlighted some areas with stickles.  I stamped onto some shrink plastic with some stamps from IndigoBlu.  I added some beads and charms and an embossed word.

Christmas Cards 2012

As it is such a miserably wet and cold day I have finished some of my Christmas cards.  I try to make some cards for the local animal rescue centre to raise funds but also need to make some cards to post to friends and family - these need to be low profile so not to expensive to post. The cards given to family and friends by hand can be more diminsional.  The card blanks are the Craftwork Cards - the embossed aperture cards. The cards have been tinted/highlighted with ink.  The snowflakes were cut out of card with the Silhouette Cameo and embossed with crystal embossing powder.  The sentiments were also cut out with the cameo.

Winter Card

I wanted to make a card for The Stampman's latest Blog challenge to make a card with the theme of bleak midwinter! (december-challenge-in-bleak-mid-winter)

I used two IndigoBlu stamps - Bare Forest and from Here Come Santa.  I used some gloss card and inks to colour the background, some crystal glitter for a snowy affect  and embossed the trees with an embossing powder from The Stampman (moonglow embossing powder).  The backing card is embossing with with embossing folder from Spellbinders, distressed and tinted with a metallic inkpad.  The snowflakes were cut with various spellbinders snowflake die with shrink plastic which has been coated first with crystal embossing  powder.

Backing card is Coredinations - it is black with blue core.  The ribbons are from  my stash - really needs more elaborate ribbon but quite like these.

IndigoBlu stamp.  Snowflakes cut in shrink plastic from various Spellbinders dies, coated with crystal embossing powder before shrinking.

IndigoBlu stamp, embossed with moonglow embossing powder. Background coloured with inks - find Inkylicious dusters easier than brayering.   The bottom is embossed with crystal embossing powder for a snowy effect.
