Vintage Card

I was looking through some blogs and saw some vintage card designs and thought I would like to have a go. I don't normally make vintage cards but really enjoyed making this one.  I used some of the IndigoBlu stamps  - I have not used them before but liked them for this card. I also used a Kanban topper and some of Joanna Sheen dried flowers.  I couldn't resist using some of the Stampendous Frantage embossing powders for accent.  The border strip was cut using a Spellbinder die.  I may enter it into Hels competition - http://pinkleart.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/sunday-stamper-week-233-all-those-years.html

Embossed Acetate Card

As The Stampman is running a competition for embossed cards I am in the groove for embossing - although to be truthful most of my cards are embossed in some way as I like the different textures and effects.  I wanted to emboss some acetate and so this was the starting point for my card.  Before I embossed the acetate I wanted to colour it in some way.  I used some white Stazon ink and mixed this with different colours of mica powders to dab onto the acetate.  When dry I embossed with Couture Creations "Seedling Nouveau" embossing folder.  I then stroked a purple Stazon over the embossed acetate to highlight it.  The topper is made with a piece of card which I coloured and stamped with one of the Butterfly Beauties from Aspects of Design.  The stamp was inked with Marvy La Plume pens and embossed with crystal embossing powder (sorry but this never photos well).

The Stampman Embossing Challenge
The card finished with a Stampendous sentiment, some stash ribbon and some card candy.

Love this acetate - coloured, embossed and highlighted.

Aspects of Design Butterfly Beauties stamp - difficult to photo as glitter embossed (also around the edges)

Alternative Glazed Tile Topper Card

This is the beautiful Stampendous Dragonfly Vine cling stamp.   Not a very clear pic but more detail below.  The message stamp is from The Stampman Aspects of Design by Kay Karley.  The message is cut out with a Spellbinder label die.

The Couture Creations embossing folder "Courtship" - I think this is going to become a favourite.

Of course some Stampendous Frantage embossing accents - a mix of colours.

The topper with UTEE glaze and crackled.  This is an amazing stamp - I can see it being used for many cards.

Christmas Card - embossed tile topper

I enjoyed the UTEE glazed tile topper made this week and thought I would try it with a Kanban bauble stamp.  Again stamped with Marvy La Plume pens.  This time I used a Frosted Versamark inkpad to get a more frosted/pearlised look and for the UTEE to adhere to.   I added a little crystal glitter embossing power to the baubles - unfortunately this is reflecting with the flash and making the image a bit less crisp than in real life.  I used some of the Stampendous Frantage Shabby Blue embossing powder to the edges.  The card was then mounted onto some glitter card from my stash and then onto one of the Craftwork Cards embossed aperture cards (although covered the aperture with the topper).

This is the finished card - fairly pleased with it!
The greeting is from a Stampendous clear Christmas set.

This is the Kanban stamp topper.
Frantage - love it!!

This is showing the amazing Frantage Shabby embossing powder - becoming an addiction.
More Frantage pics and also showing the Craftwork Cards aperture card highlighted with ink.

Christmas Card - embossed poinsettia

I am mad on the Stampendous Frantage bits.  I also have just received some lovely already embossed cards from Craftwork Cards - usually I struggle to use aperture cards as never happy with my results but these are stunning and wanted to use distress ink with a little silver ink accent to the embossing and add a Spellbinder Poinsettia die.  The Poinsettia was then coated with Stampendous Frantage aged embossing powders with some tinsel glitter to the centre and joined with a brad.

This is the completed card showing the Frantaged Poinsettia .
The tag is stamped with a clear Stampendous Christmas sentiment embossed in black. The edges of the stamp dipped in a glitter embossing powder from stash.

This shows the Craftwork Card aperture card already embossed with snowflakes and with some mirror card behind the aperture.
The embossed card with distress inks applied to highlight the snowflakes.  I used the Splodge mat and the Inkylicious dusters to apply ink in pale blue with also a touch of silver.
The Spellbinders die cut out of light card and the with the Frantage embossing powders applied.  I used the aged scarlet, the aged hunter green and shabby green.  The centre is embossed with Stampendous tinsel glitter (mahogany, I think).

Embossed Card

I wanted to make a card with embossing especially as I have just bought some more of the Stampendous Frantage embossing powders and other gorgeous bits to play with.  I just love all of this range, I love the aged embossing powders, the glitters, and all of the other exciting bits.
I made this for as part of The Stamp Man Blog challenge to make an embossed card/project - The Stampman Embossing Challenge

This stamp is from Penny Black - Dreamy (40-102).
I inked with Marvy Le Plume pens, used UTEE (with a little crystal glitter embossing power to head of flower.  I applied some mica powder to edges and reheated to fix and then cracked the UTEE.
This shows the embossing to one of the layers - Couture Creations  "Courtship"
I used some chalk inks to add some colour to highlight areas.

This shows the crackles, the mica to the edges and the glitter effect.

The background stamp is from Aspects of Design Lace 1.
The sentiment is from IndigoBlu - Poppy Meadow.
The lace stamp is embossed with the Stampendous aqua tinsel embossing powder.

This is the completed card showing the background embossed with the Stampendous Aged Aqua embossing powder - I know less if probably more but would cover every part of the card with the aged embossing powders or other bling bits.  The bow is from MayArts ribbon.  I have also used some Distress Inks, spellbinders labels dies and also WRMK corner chompers.
