Another Sizzix Accordion Die Card - yes another one!!!

I have a bit more time (well after 5 weeks resting from a bunion op and not able to craft much) I have had another go at the larger version of the Karen Burniston Sizzix Accordion Die.  I still haven't been able to get the matching die but put some paper through and cut this about to cover the base card.  I found my red tape which really made a difference to get a good stick.

Accordion Cards

I have wanted to own the  Sizzix Accordion Die by Karen Burniston for so long but it always seems to be out of stock!  I luckily managed to get one and have been really enjoying making cards with it.  I have love the cards other people have made - there really are some amazing designs out there.

Here are some of my pics of my first attempt - I used the amazing Tattered Lace Dies as they are just so beautiful and I need more of them  (perhaps also will soon need a bigger house - must try not to buy any more crafty items for the next few months and just enjoy all the wonderful things I already have!)  The Happy Birthday die is a Cuttlebug die.

I am trying to limit my colour palette as I am alway thinking I need more colour or more bling....

This picture is of the extended height accordion die (I think there was a tutorial to show how to do this - sorry can't remember if it was on Karen Burniston's Blog but probably was).  This make the die much more versatile for me. I don't have the matching die so used Spellbinder label dies.  Also used more of the Tattered Lace dies.

Thanks for looking and I would love it if you had time to leave a comment with any feedback.

MyScrapChick designs

I love the myscrapchick files as they always work out so well.  I love being able to use all of my papers - from my large stash and also scraps of paper.  I use my Silhouette Cameo which make life so easy.  I sometimes fill in the designs and then print and cut but more often use up some of my papers.  I really enjoy making cards - which I donate to the local animal shelter for them to make funds. I also love 3d designs. I keep meaning to make some more scrapbooks but don't often manage it. I enjoy all types of crafting - I like a bit of grungy distressing but more so like cleaner lines.  I unfortunately always think more is more.... and have to add just one more embellishment.  I am envious of crafters who can make cards with white background and perhaps a simple stamped image only - might give it a go. I will also get around to posting pics of things made with my new Fiskars Fuse (haven't had a great deal of time to play yet).  I have just had a bunion op (ouch!!) and am just - after 4 weeks - managing to get back to paper crafting as I can now sit with my foot down for short periods. I have had great fun for the past couple of days making things - I have had a go at making my own whitebox to try to get better photos as we live in quite a dark house.  This has been a difficult year for me with family illnesses and bereavements and now me having had surgery which has meant having to rest and difficulty getting about - but now things are looking up.  Hey - time to start on all of my Christmas cards and loads for charity!!!

This is my Frantaged version of the Pine Cone box - just love it and so simple to make.
