Craftwork Cards - Botanica

When I saw this beautiful collection from Craftwork Cards I just had to buy it - despite trying to use up some of my stash as usual.  This Botanica collection is beautiful with a slight vintage feel with flowers, birds and butterflies.  I love the uncoated card which is a brilliant weight and great to ink the edges etc.  I added some glitter glue to some areas and I used some mirror card etc from my stash but pretty much everything was from the kit.  I really like the co-ordination of matching papers, flowers, toppers and sentiments.  I kept it simple but some of the excellent card designs on the Craftwork Cards blog and the DT blogs are well worth a look.  Every page in the pad was a favourite - I would find it hard to decide an absolute favourite!  I have only used a tiny bit of the foiled pages - they are almost too nice to use.

Silhouette Cameo Valentines Cards

Well just got in from trying to stop our fence from blowing down in the gales - still nothing compared to everyone battling the flooding.  I made these cards earlier while trying to keep an eye on the fence out of window - had to wait for hubby to get home to see how to prop it up.

These are some simple Silhouette Cameo cards made with designs from the Silhouette Store.  There is always something on there to make a pretty card.

Daniela Angelova design from the store - I added a different sentiment and bow also from the store!  Oh no - peel off bits!

Miss Kate Cuttables design from the store made into a card.  Oh no - sorry but added some peel off bits!

Patty Young Designs/MODKID design from the store.  This has a die cut sentiment using a Tonic die.  Oh dear - one nostril has slipped while I was taking the pic!!  Easily sorted.

Tonic Die and Punch Card

Have become addicted to all of the amazing Tonic Dies and Punches.  They always cut so well and the designs get better and better. I have seen a sneaky peak of some new ones coming and know I will want them.

Today's card is made of a piece of white card with a piece of acetate stuck on. I used the Butterfly Border Punch and cut both sides of a 3 1/4 inch strip of card.  As this card is 6x6 inches square I had to snip part of the border edge away and overlap the layers a little.  I cut the border in 3 shades of purple card.  The hearts were cut with the Tonic Indulgence Dies.  The Tonic Everyday Sentiments die Just for You was cut from glitter card.

I felt the card was busy enough without adding any ribbons, bows or other crafty things.  Just the day - wet and windy - to enjoy crafting.  Although the weather has settled for a few minutes and the sun is trying to come out.

I hope you can see the 3 different shades of purple/lavender/lilac card used for cutting the border strips!

I love the Tonic Sentiments dies - I see there are some new must have ones coming out soon.....  I also would like the Christmas ones from last year that I missed.

Just had one of Dave's lovely Sunday Lunches and now want to spend time adding the binding edge to some quilted table mats I am trying to make.  Some many projects but so little time!

I saw a saw a Pinterest idea of taking photos and using wallpaper on the PC as a backdrop - we have quite a dark house so thought I would give this a go - used some wallpaper, may craft room has a daylight bulb.  Need to practice a bit more but great idea.
